Transportation & Development Institute Publications Committee Seeks Volunteers

The Institute Publications Committee administers the solicitation of technical papers, books, practice manuals and other publishable items that may be of interest to Institute members. It also identifies appropriate publication outlets for such publication materials in appropriate forums of the Institute including the Journal of Transportation Engineering, Journal of Urban Planning and Development, and Journal of Infrastructure Systems. The journals are doing well. All three journals have experienced increased submissions.The Journal of Transportation Engineering has become a monthly journal from January this year. It is now one of the top seven out of about thirty journals of the Society.  While the journals are in good health, we need new blood to create new energy, particularly in the areas of  handbooks, practice manuals and other endeavors. Volunteers are being sought who have interest in these areas.  Please contact Kumares C. An institute can be effective only to the extent that its members are willing to volunteer their efforts.
