Career Resources

What Can a Cover Letter do for You?

"Your resume tells.  Your cover letter sells!"  according to the American Society of Association Executives.  Attract more employers during your job or internship search by following these simple cover letter-writing rules:

  • Keep the letter to one page
  • Make it easy for the eye to read by using bullets, allowing ample space between paragraphs
  • Make it enticing by describing your skills in terms of the employer's needs
  • Show some personality

Put your cover letter writing skills into action and apply for your next internship or job online at http://www.asce.org/careers.
