The dawn of a new year often has us looking forward and setting goals, but it is also a good time to reflect and evaluate the past year. With regard to Currents, one resource that I believe is underutilized is News Correspondents. Did you even know that there are several EWRI Currents News Correspondents working among us?
Each technical council of EWRI has a News Correspondent, who ideally takes the role of passing noteworthy information to the Communications Council. The News Correspondents should record or solicit information from their respective council and committee activities, but any member at-large may also contact them. If you would like to provide information for a technical article, a new development, a workshop, or any other item that falls under a particular council’s specialty, a News Correspondent can help you. The names and e-mail addresses of the correspondents are listed on the last page of each issue of Currents. Please utilize this valuable resource in the coming year. Our readership likes to see a good mix of technical information and News Correspondents are a key to providing that.
Of course, the Communications Council continues to be available for direct submittal as well. As I always say: Whether it is an article, an idea for an article, or a tip to improve Currents, I want to hear from you. Online submittal is available at the Communications Council website.
