The ASCE/COPRI Tidal Hydraulics Committee is organizing a three session mini-symposia for the 11th International Conference on Estuarine and Coastal Modeling (ECM) on Relative Sea Level Rise(SLR) as it relates to ECM. The plan is for two sessions filled with presentations and the third session a panel discussion led by four invited experts. The experts will be from four areas: 1) Coastal Subsidence; 2) Risk Assessments; 3) A Planner (think the Mississippi Coastal Improvements Program or the Louisiana Coastal Restoration Program); and 4) Natural System Response to Relative SLR. ECM11, "Using Modeling to Solve Engineering and Environmental Assessment Problems," is scheduled to be held on November 4 - 6, 2009 at the Grand Hyatt Seattle, Seattle, Washington, USA. Details on the conference are provided at the conference web site. If you are interested in participating on the COPRI Tidal Hydraulics committee, please contact Scott Hagen at shagen@mail.ucf.edu.
