Inductees Selected for 2007 Hall of Fame
For the second year in a row COPRI and ASCE will honor papers presented at past Offshore Technology Conferences with induction into the ASCE OTC Hall of Fame. Since it’s beginning, more than 35 years ago, the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) has provided the industry with outstanding papers that have shaped our world. ASCE OTC Hall of Fame Gala Dinner Many of the papers presented throughout OTC’s history have provided the industry with innovation, vision, direction and lasting impact on the design, construction or installation of the offshore infrastructure. To honor a select few of the outstanding civil engineering papers, many of which form the core of current practice throughout the world, ASCE has initiated the ASCE OTC Hall of Fame. For the second year ina row a gala dinner will be held in conjunction with OTC (April 30-May 3) to honor the authors of those selected papers. July 2-4, 2007 Venice, Italy The only comprehensive conference on coastal structures highlights the significant advancements in coastal structure innovation, design and construction. Coastal Structures 2007 will be held in conjunction with the IAHR 2007 Conference in Venice Italy.

COPRI Past-President Billy Edge, Ph.D., P.E. was the recipient of the Outstanding Civilian Service Medal, the third highest honor the Army can bestow upon a civilian. Edge received the award for his commitment and contribution as a member of the ASCE External Review Panel (ERP), which provided independent and objective review of the Hurricane Katrina Interagency Performance Evaluation Task Force (IPET).
