Undergraduate students have until Aug. 1, 2009 to submit full papers for Ports 2010. The Undergraduate Paper Contest requires a conference-formatted paper and formal presentation at the undergraduate symposium slated for the first day of the conference. After initial judging, authors of the 10 highest rated papers will be invited to present their work. Following the presentations, awards will be made for the top three papers. Monetary prizes will be given, along with complementary admission to the Ports 2010 conference sessions.

In addition, graduate students who submitted abstracts by the conference deadline will have their papers rated. A stipend to partially cover conference attendance will be made available to the authors of the highest rated papers. To receive the award stipend the student must; (a) have served as the primary author on the paper, and (b) present the material at the conference.
