COPRI SPHERE SHINES AS ORGANIZATION MEMBERSHIPS INCREASE

Kurt A. Keifer, PhD, COPRI Membership Chair

Following the hugely successful Ports, Sediments, and Structures conferences, COPRI’s membership ranks have risen to more than 3,800 individuals and more than a dozen Organizational Members!

Organizational Membership is a great way for businesses, government agencies, universities, and other organizations to gain visibility in our diverse, multi-disciplinary field.  COPRI offers Organizational Members valuable marketing and advertising opportunities in our newsletter, on our website, and at premier technical conferences that cater to targeted audiences.

In return, Organizational Membership dollars facilitate COPRI’s technical committee activities, help subsidize conferences and meetings, and make educational and outreach programs possible.  COPRI-sponsored events facilitate direct communication among professionals regarding policies, procedures, products, and other important issues.  These events also provide an excellent opportunity for students to learn about (and network within) our field as they prepare for their future careers.

Recognizing the critical role that these members play in assisting the Institute in reaching its goals, COPRI would like to thank its current Organizational Members, and extend special thanks to Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company for being the first to renew for 2008:

In addition to the standard benefits associated with these levels (which are detailed at www.coprinstitute.org/membership) all Organizational Members will be prominently showcased on COPRI’s webpage and in COPRI’s Waterways newsletter. COPRI marketing and promotional materials will also highlight Organizational Members and the role that they play in the Institute’s success.

With the Solutions to Costal Disasters 2008 Conference coming to Hawaii in April, now is a perfect time to join COPRI as an Organizational Member!  To join or to request more information, contact Kurt Keifer at KKeifer@CTLGroup.com.
