A wide variety of infrastructure projects, designed and implemented by civil engineers, can have unintended impacts on fish and other aquatic organisms. However, most engineers get no or little training concerning biological and physical processes of watershed dynamics, including fish biology. This lack of knowledge of biological/engineering interface can result in long delays, redesign and suboptimal solutions both for the natural resources and for the intended purpose of the infrastructure. $249M/$299NM
