AEI’s Architectural Systems Committee

to Conduct a Survey

The AEI Architectural Systems Committee plans to conduct in the coming weeks an on-line survey of the membership.  The current charge of the committee is to “study architectural (non-structural/mechanical/electrical) systems of the building; including but not limited to windows, cladding, doors, ceilings, roofing, waterproofing, etc.”  The main purpose of the survey is to identify the topics the architectural systems committee should focus on.  Ideally, these topics should be meaningful to the membership, be timely, and have considerable application to industry.

Some of the survey questions aim to determine the spectrum of topics the committee should address.  Other questions seek to identify the type of deliverables that are most useful to the AEI membership. Survey participants will also have the possibility of suggesting names of industry and academic experts who may have an interest in joining the committee, and of providing any additional comments.  Watch your e-mail inbox for an invitation to participate in the survey!
