ASCE Pittsburgh Section Creates Architectural Engineering Technical Group

Kelly Krieg, a young Architectural Engineering graduate from Penn State, has led the effort to create an Architectural Engineering Technical Group within the ASCE Pittsburgh Section (see article on page 4 of the September 2008 section newsletter).  The first meeting of the Architectural Engineering Technical Group took place on December 2.  The creation of the Architectural Engineering Technical Group is expected to lead to increased section members participation by offering them activities at the local level in their areas of technical interest.  Such initiatives will also develop national-local collaboration.  The steps for creating a local Institute Chapter or for converting an existing Section or Branch Technical Group into a new Institute Chapter are outlined here.
