AAWRE announces 78 new Diplomates in Its second year

In its second year of the Diplomate, specialty certification program, the American Academy of Water Resources Engineers (AAWRE) has announced that 78 new Diplomates have earned the Diplomate, Water Resource Engineer (D.WRE) credential. Each Diplomate has demonstrated the highest level of achievement in water resources engineering through their ethics, education and experience. To read the names of new Diplomates:

Diplomate Renewal deadline extended: If you missed the March 31 renewal deadline, the AAWRE Board extended a grace period thru June 30, 2006. There will be no penalty imposed if renewed by this date. Please review the guidelines on obtaining PDHs and renewing.

AAWRE Ethics session and Diplomate reception to be held at EWRI's World Water and Environmental Resources Congress

To assist Diplomates to fulfill the annual ethics requirement, AAWRE will conduct an Ethics session on Monday, May 22, 2006. Please plan on attending the Ethics session and earn 2 PDHs at the EWRI's 2006 World Water and Environmental Resources Congress in Omaha! For more information on the session:

AAWRE Committee Volunteer Opportunities

AAWRE is presently looking into forming additional committees to help further the goals of AAWRE and the Certification, Specialty program. AAWRE is calling on all Diplomates for interest in participation. Please e-mail AAWRE at certification@aawre.org if you wish to serve on future committees. Additional information will be forthcoming in the near future!
